GHK-Cu references: the studies this digest draws from.

Every quantitative claim on this site resolves to one of these peer-reviewed sources. Each carries its journal, year, DOI, and PubMed or PMC link.

How to read this list

GHK-Cu references on this site number fifteen peer-reviewed entries — the audited core of the copper-tripeptide literature, spanning the 1988 collagen dose-response work to the 2024-2025 senescence-reversal and delivery reviews. Inline markers across the research, skin, benefits, dosage, and FAQ pages point here by number.

The list is weighted toward primary studies and authoritative reviews. Where a finding is corroborated by an investigator independent of the compound's original researcher — Campbell 2012 on COPD fibroblasts [8], and the Ladiges-group reviews [7][15] — that independence is noted in the body text because it strengthens the weight of the claim. Several entries are reviews (Pickart 2008, Pickart 2015, Pickart & Margolina 2018, Mortazavi 2025); they are cited as reviews, and the primary measurements they summarize are attributed where possible.
